Harold died following a short illness, in West Palm Beach, Florida on March 7, 2011. He was 58. Harold graduated Lakewood High School in 1970 and worked at Lloyd's Liquors for 7 years, and then for Spirits Unlimited for 2 years, both on Route 9 in Lakewood. He moved to West Palm in 1983.

He is predeceased by his father, Jack Soloff; and is survived by his mother, Sara "Sookie" Soloff, and two sisters, Sharon Goldstein of West Palm Beach, and Jeanne Gold of Palm Beach Gardens.
